Root Canal Treatment (RCT)

Root Canal Treatment (RCT)

Relieve Pain, Save Your Natural Tooth

A severe toothache, sensitivity to hot or cold, or swelling around a tooth can be signs of deep infection. When the inner part of your tooth (called the pulp) becomes infected or damaged, a Root Canal Treatment (RCT) is often the best way to save it.

At Patanjali Dental Centre, we offer safe, precise, and nearly painless root canal treatments using advanced tools and techniques.

What is Root Canal Treatment?

Root canal treatment is a procedure used to remove infected or damaged pulp tissue from inside the tooth. After cleaning and disinfecting the root canals, the space is filled and sealed to prevent further infection.

This treatment helps you avoid tooth extraction and keeps your natural tooth intact.

When Do You Need an RCT?

You might need a root canal if you experience:

  • Persistent toothache

  • Sensitivity to hot or cold that lingers

  • Swelling or tenderness near a tooth

  • Darkening of the tooth

  • Pain when chewing or biting

Your dentist may confirm the need for RCT with an X-ray.

How is RCT Done?
  1. Numbing: Local anesthesia is used to ensure a painless experience.

  2. Cleaning: The infected pulp is carefully removed.

  3. Shaping: The canals are cleaned and shaped using advanced rotary tools.

  4. Filling: The cleaned canals are filled with a special material (gutta-percha).

  5. Sealing: The tooth is sealed and later covered with a crown for protection.

The procedure is usually completed in 1–2 visits, depending on the tooth’s condition.
